This pendant is the culmination of my experience. I designed it with layers to represent my experience as a black person in America. I have put in hours of time into the design time and even more during fabrication. The backplate is textured with an ancient Japanese technique that represents the touch history of my people. It is a piece that I hope will inspire people.
