Must Haves

This list will consist of the tools, machines, equipment, and consumables you will need to make jewelry effectively. *Things in red are considered the minimum* Tools

  1. Comprehensive Files 

  2. A set of hammers (raw- heid malet, chasing, and planishing)

  3. Pilers (flat, half round, and sharp cutters)

  4. Jewelers Saw

  5. Accurate Calipers

  6. Small scale (500g min (it would be best if it did ounces and troy ounces as well))

  7. Anvil 

  8. Copper tweezers 

  9. Soldering tools (Soldering pics, heat resistant tweezers)

  10. Pouring blocks (Only needed If you are melting metal)

Machines

  1. Rolling Mill (avoid cheap ones these are a

  2. Tumbler

  3. Shot (Tiny steel balls for tumbler)

Equipment

  1. Jewelers Torch

  2. Soldering Blooks (honeycomb block & Charcoal block)

  3. Crock pot (You may need multiple for cleaning, eching, pickling ect.)

Consumables

  1. Sandpaper ( You need at least 3 different grits with a min of 600 grit) ( I sand to 1500)

  2. Polishing compound

  3. Pickle compound

  4. Gas Tanks ( whatever you decide to burn I burn propane and Oxy)

  5. Jewelers Saw blades (get a few sizes)

  6. Your metal of choice (I primarily use sterling silver)
